The values displayed in the on-board com‐
puter may deviate from those of the tyre
pressure gauge as they refer to sea level. At
high elevations, the tyre pressure values
indicated by a pressure gauge are higher
than those shown by the on-board computer.
In this case, do not reduce the tyre pressure.
Restarting the tyre pressure monitoring sys‐
tem
Requirements:
The recommended tyre pressure is correctly

set for the respective operating status on all
of the wheels (

Tyre pressure loss warning system
Function of the tyre pressure loss warning
system
The tyre pressure loss warning system warns the
driver by means of display messages when there
is a severe tyre pressure loss.
System limits
The system may be impaired or may not function
particularly in the following situations:
incorrectly set tyre pressure
R
sudden pressure loss caused, for example,
R
by a foreign object penetrating the tyre
steady pressure loss in several tyres
R
The system has a restricted or delayed function
particularly in the following situations:
poor ground conditions, e.g. snow or gravel
R
driving with snow chains
R
when adopting a very sporty driving style
R
with high cornering speeds or sudden accel‐
eration
driving with a very heavy or large trailer
R
