VIKING FIRE HOOD
This product is in conformity with the provisions of the
Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and
of the Council.
Your VIKING fire hood is designed to meet the requirements
of a fire hood for firefighter crews who are exposed to
heat and flames. Your hood is approved in accordance with
EN13911:2004 Protective clothing for firefighters –
Requirements and test methods for fire hoods for
firefighters, and it is certified by Centexbel, Technologiepark
no. 7, B-9052 Zwijnaarde, NB 0493, Belgium.
To the best of VIKING's knowledge, the fire hood causes
no allergic reactions and is not carcinogenic, mutagenic or
toxic to reproduction. All layers of fabric in the hood have
Oeko-Tex® Std 100 approval or equivalent health marking
for textiles.
The actual fire hood consists of several layers of fabric, and
the shoulder piece consists of one layer of fabric.
The shoulder piece must always be covered by the fire
jacket. The hood must be worn in conjunction with a fire
suit and be suitable for use with the following respirators,
as a minimum: Auer 3S, Dräger Panorama Nova, Dräger
Future, Dräger F1, Auer Ultra Elite. Less compatible with
respirator type Bartels & Rieger No. 1.
If other types of respirators are used, the user must check
that the hood is compatible with the respirator, which
means that there must be no openings between the hood
and respirator.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Check the hood for damage before use. Put the hood on
before the fire jacket and check that the fire jacket covers
the entire shoulder piece. Check that there are no openings
between the hood and fire jacket.

PS3838 has a particle barrier that increases protection of

particle barrier and reduce its filtering capability. VIKING's
obligation under warranty is to repair or replace the hood if
there are defects related to workmanship or materials, not
wrong use or wrong maintenance.
LIMITATIONS
The hood only provides protection against fire and heat.
