Changing the Keyboard Touch

This setting changes the relative touch of the keyboard
keys.
While holding down the FUNCTION

button, press one of the keyboard keys
shown below.

Changing the Piano Key

Use this setting to raise or lower the overall key of the
keyboard in semitone steps.
Holding down the FUNCTION button,

press the keyboard keys to raise or lower
the overall key of the keyboard.

NOTE
• To return the piano key to C, hold down the
FUNCTION button and press the keyboard keys
[ ] and [ ] at the same time.
• After using Transpose to raise the keyboard to a
high key, notes played at the highest range of the
keyboard may not sound properly for certain tones.

Changing the Pitch of the Piano
to Match Another Instrument
Use this setting to raise or lower the overall pitch of
the piano. The setting range is plus or minus 50 cents
(100 cents = 1 semitone) from the standard pitch of
A
= 440.0Hz.

* Each press of the button changes the current setting by
approximately 1 cents (1/100 semitone).
NOTE
• Holding down the FUNCTION button and pressing
the keyboard keys [ ] and [ ] at the same time
returns tuning to the standard A
Using Digital Piano Setup
Memory
When setup memory is turned on, the digital piano
will remember its setup* whenever you turn it off. If
you turn off setup memory, settings will be cleared
when you turn off the digital piano.
* song select, keyboard touch, damper pedal setting,
layered tone volume balance, split point,
metronome beat, and send channel
NOTE
• If the power is turned off during record standby or
playback standby of the Song Memory function (see
page E-10) when this setting is on, the following
settings are retained in memory in addition to the
normal settings indicated above. These settings will
be recalled from memory the next time the digital
piano enters the Song Memory playback standby
mode.
