• Turn the kettle on by the switch (position I). The "on" status indicator lights up.
• To discontinue operation, turn the kettle off by moving the switch to position 0.
• When the boiling temperature is reached, the kettle switches off automatically. The switch moves to position 0
and the indicator goes off.
• Use the handle to remove the kettle from the stand. Do not touch any other parts of the kettle as this may cause
burns.
• Before each removing of the kettle from the stand, make sure the switch is in position 0 and the indicator light is
off.
• The water must not be kept in the kettle after boiling.
No-load protection:
• Never turn the kettle on if it is empty.
• The kettle is protected by an automatic safety switch in case of accidental operation without water.
• In this case, turn the kettle off and wait for about 10 minutes for the heater to cool. Then fill it with plenty of cold
water to turn off the safety switch.

MAINTENANCE:

Cleaning the exterior of the kettle:
• Before cleaning, make sure that the kettle plug is disconnected from the socket.
• When cleaning, never immerse the kettle or stand in water or other solutions.
• Do not use solvents for cleaning.
• Clean the outer surface of the kettle only with a damp cloth.
• Make sure the water does not get into the kettle or stand connector.
Removing deposits:
The interval for removing deposits inside the kettle depends on the drinking water parameters. However, deposits
need to be removed at least twice a year. If the kettle automatically switches off before boiling, the deposits must
be removed before further use. This is not corrosion or material defect.
To remove deposits, use:
• Vinegar: Fill the kettle with 0.5l of food vinegar and leave standing for about 30 minutes without boiling. Then
pour the vinegar out and rinse the kettle 3 times with clean water.
• Citric acid: Boil 0.5 litre of water in the kettle. Add 25 g of citric acid and leave standing for 20 minutes. Pour the
content out and rinse the kettle 3 times with clean water.
• Do not use abrasive materials or organic solvents or detergents for coffee makers and steam irons. These products
can damage the kettle.
