  • Page 6 Step 1: Starting Panel 1 CHOOSING YOUR ALIGNMENT STYLE Align the bottom of the left corner of the starting panel with the outside corner of the far left rafter (Detail C). This results in no panel overhang (Detail A). You may add up to 1-1/2˝of panel overhang as noted in Detail B.

  • Page 9 LOCKING TOGETHER FIELD PANELS Align the plank to the flat edges of the ship lap. Be sure the plank is flat against the truss. There should be a maximun 2˝gap at the roof ridge to allow for ridge cap coverage. Secure each panel to the roof using two gasket screws 3/4˝from the drip edge through the center of each truss it covers.

  • Page 11 Step 3: Left End Cap Continued ALIGNMENT Apply roughly a 1/2˝bead of silicone caulk along the left edge of the newly fastened panels about 1-1/2˝from the panel edges. See Detail A below. Align the angled edge of the left end cap with the roof centerline where it will meet coincident with the end cap on the other side.
  • Page 12 TOP AND SIDE SCREWS Secure the end cap to the panels using five gasket screws in line with the previously placed screws. See Detail A. Once the top screws are in place, drive four gasket screws starting 2-1/2˝from the end of the end cap and 1-1/2˝in from the top face of the end cap.

See Detail A below. Place the ridge cap over the open gap at the peak of the roof. Create roughly a 3/8˝overhang on the frontside of the roof.
