Display Layout
The display comprises three areas.
Menu
PhoneBook
Area
Description
First line
Displays various icons (see page 13).
Middle
Display messages, instructions and any
lines
information that you enter (number to
be dialled, for example).
Last line
With the flip cover open, shows the
functions assigned to the two soft keys.
With the flip cover closed, displays the
Keypad Lock icon ( ) and Aoc soft key
indication.
: hold down the left soft key to
activate the keypad. You can access the
main menu without opening the flip
cover. The keypad is automatically
locked if no key is pressed with in a
period of time or opening and closing
the flip cover.
Aoc: hold down the right soft key to
display AOC (Advice of Charge)
information, depending on your SIM
card or Call Cost menu option (1-5).

Icons
Signal strength: shows the received
signal strength. The greater the number
of bars, the better the signal strength.
Service: appears when a call is in
progress.
New Message: appears when a new
text message has been received.
New Voice Mail: appears when a new
voice mail message has been received.
Vibrator on: appears when the Vibrate
mode is active.
Alarm on: appears when you set the
alarm.
Battery strength: shows the level of
your battery. The more bars you see, the
more power you have left.
