Infrared Activate
This feature allows you to send or receive data/fax
through the infrared port. To use an infrared
connection, you must:
• Install the modem driver for receiving or sending
data/fax. (We recommend 14400 bps Data/Fax
modem manufactured by 'Rockwell' company.)
• Install the network dial-up software supplied by
your service provider or a fax application program
for a fax call on your PC
• Configure and activate an IrDA-compliant infrared
port on your PC
• Activate the Infrared feature on the phone; the
symbol appears on the top line of the display
• Dial the network service number given to you by the
service provider
If there is no communication between your phone and
the IrDA-compliant device within 30 seconds of
activating the feature, it is automatically deactivated.
For further details, contact your service provider.
For information on downloading and installing the IrDA
program, visit http://www.samsungmobile.com.

This function is a memory aid, which you can use to
check your own phone numbers if you need to do so.
