Use only MIRA Safety-approved spare parts and accessories or the proper functioning of the product may be impaired. Do NOT use a faulty product, and do not modify the product. PAPR in order to use a standard gas mask for extended periods. To ensure your child can safely use the MD-1 without the assistance of a PAPR, please ask them to blow up a standard-sized birthday balloon. If they can, they will likely be able to use the mask without the assistance of a PAPR. - Page 8 Have the user don the gas mask: Fully extend the straps of the head harness. Spread the harness, place the chin of the user into the facepiece, center the harness over the head, ensuring that the harness is sitting flat on the head with no twisted straps. Ensure no hair or harness straps are interfering with the Gas Mask’s seal on the user’s face Moderately tighten the harness straps.

Clean the Gas Mask if possible (see Cleaning section). CLEANING AND DISINFECTING After exposure or use, the MD-1 Gas Mask should be cleaned and disinfected according to the following instructions: Remove any accessories (including the optional hose) from the facepiece and clean them separately per manufacturer instructions. -
