This kit is intended for use with cradle-style kayak carriers (not included).
Do not exceed the carrier's load capacity.
Do not exceed the loading capacity of cross bars.
Do not modify this product or use it for unintended purpose.
Check the condition of the straps and anchors before each use. Do not use if any parts are damaged. Contact
etrailer.com for replacement of damaged parts.
Secure bow and stern to vehicle with included straps.
Periodically check the condition of the straps when traveling long distances and retighten if necessary.
This kit is intended for use with kayaks and similar single occupant watercraft. Use with items and watercraft that does
not fit this description could cause damage and injury to user or others.
Take the height of the load on your vehicle roof into consideration while driving through limited spaces such as
tunnels, garages, parking structures, etc.
Store the straps in a dry and cool place when not in use. Remove all salt and debris from product after use for best
results. Keep out of reach of children.

  • Page 2 Load and Secure 1. With another person’s help, load the kayak onto car rooftop and center the kayak on two folding cradles (not included). Make sure the cockpit is facing toward you. See Fig. 1. 2. Route the free end of strap (B) around the top of the outer frame of folding cradle. Pull and route both the buckle end and free end of strap (B) over the kayak.
  • Page 3 4. Tie the bow and stern to vehicle using strap (C) and strap (D). a) Insert the loop end of strap (C) through the rescue bars or grab handles of kayak. Feed the buckle end of strap (C) through the loop end and pull the buckle end to tighten.
  • Page 4 5. Rock the kayak to ensure it is firmly secured. Retighten the straps if loose.
