Follow these steps to remove the existing mechanical lock: 1. Disconnect power to the unit and open the security container door by lifting up on the door handle and swinging the door outward.

Insert the end of the keypad cable through the hole in the mounting plate and align the shoulder screws with the mounting slots in the back of the keypad. After removing the mechanical lock, follow these steps to install the electronic combination lock: 1.
