The flexible, quiet and space-saving AL-KO AIRSAFE ® The exact type designation can be found on the rating plate attached to the housing. When ordering replacement „ parts or in case of other queries, please specify the type designation of the AL-KO AIRSAFE 1200 / 1600 device, ® the year of contruction and the serial number (see section “3.3 Rating plate of the AL-KO AIRSAFE® 1200 / 1600 air purifier" on page 17). -

(17) on the top of the device. The air flow is conveyed by a fan (1). Its sound emissions are minimised by two silencers (14) and sound insulation (15) inside the housing. Furthermore, the choice of the H13 class HEPA filter ensures extremely quiet continuous operation of the air purifier. In order to guarantee a high quality of the cleaned air leaving the outlet hood (17), the filter is constantly monitored by means of a differential pressure measurement using the load cell (13). The pre-filter can easily be removed by the owner/operator by opening the four retaining clamps. The HEPA filter is only pushed in on rails (2) and can be removed by pulling it out. The device is switched on and off, its function monitored, the status of the two filters displayed and the fan controlled via a clearly arranged control panel (19) on the front of the AL-KO AIRSAFE 1200 / 1600 air purifier. An additional hygiene ® timer (18) stuck to the housing signals when the pre-filter needs to be replaced. The hygiene timer is always replaced together with the pre-filter by the owner/operator. After the filter has been changed and the device switched on, the hygiene timer is activated by the owner/operator with a firm press on its integrated start button. A red bar in the sight glass indicates the correct function. When the level reaches the upper edge of the scale, the pre-filter has to be replaced. 3.1.2... -

ATTENTION Ensure that no access or escape routes are obstructed when routing the mains lead. The AL-KO AIRSAFE 1200 / 1600 air purifier has a five metre long mains lead with 230 V mains plug (normal domestic ® power socket). This can be expedient for room that are heavily frequented at certain times, e.g. In classrooms in schools. AL-KO AIRSAFE 1200 / 1600 ® 7.3.2 Filter change indicator A necessary filter change is indicated by the red Filter status LED on the control panel lighting up when the fan control knob is turned to High or Power. ATTENTION The pre-filter must always be changed if the device has not been in use for more than six months. In case of heavy contamination, the pre-filter may have to be changed before the hygiene timer has expired. To check the filter status, turn the fan control knob on the control panel to position High or Power. -

Fixation Holder Filter clamp, fixed Frame Pre-filter Filter clamp, released Proceed as follows to replace the pre-filter: Step Action Release the four filter clamps (2) from the fixation (1). Swivel the filter clamps 90° away from the holder (4). Pull the frame (5) with the pre-filter (3) out of the holder. Place the frame with the new pre-filter into the holder. Swivel the four filter clamps (6) 90° towards the holder. Hook the filter clamps into the fixation. Dispose of the used pre-filter in an environmentally friendly manner. Remove the hygiene timer from the front of the air purifier. Dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner. Attach the new hygiene timer to the front of the device to the left of the control panel. Start the hygiene timer. -

Service and maintenance 7.3.6 Complete the filter change Proceed as follows to conclude the filter change and to put the device back into operation: Step Action Check that both filters are tight. Place the cover with control panel onto the housing of the air purifier. Secure the cover with control panel by turning the four latches completely to the right. Have a second person to help you. Push the air purifier on its castors on the base of the device back into its original position with the rear side to the wall. Use the handle recess on the rear side of the device for positioning. Check that the air purifier is set up on level ground. Correct the alignment of the device, if necessary, using the height-adjustable feet on the device base. -
