Inserting FTBx Modules

AUTION
To avoid damaging your unit, use it only with modules approved by
EXFO (refer to the unit's technical specifications).

Position the module vertically so that its connector pins are facing downwards and positioned to the left.
The identification sticker should not be visible.

Insert the protruding edges of the module into the grooves and push all the way to the bottom of the slot.
Note: There is no need to turn off your unit
before inserting a module.

Turn the two retaining screws clockwise to secure the module in place.
Its faceplate should be flush with the front panel of the unit.

Removing Modules

From Mini Toolbox X, click the
button.

AUTION
Once you have pressed the
button, wait until the status of the
module switches to "Safe to Remove" in Mini Toolbox X.

Turn the two retaining screws counterclockwise until they are loose (do not remove them completely).

Hold the module by its sides or by the retaining screws (NOT by the connectors) and pull it out.
