01. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.

Dear client,
Thank you for purchasing an ELMA brand pro-
duct.
We hope that you will enjoy the product that you
have purchased for a long time.
Read this instruction manual closely before tur-
ning on the device, and keep it for later consul-
tation. The non-observation or compliance with
these instructions may result in an accident.
Before using the product for the first time, clean
all parts of the product which may come into con-
tact with food, proceeding as indicated in the
cleaning section.
• Check that the appliance is in good condition
with special attention to the electrical connections.
Contact the distributor where you acquired the
product in the event of any anomaly.
• Before connecting the device to the power
supply check that the voltage indicated is the
same as that of your local network.
• t is recommendable to place the electric gridd-
le on a firm level surface to avoid rocking or vi-
brations during operation (see installation condi-
tions).
• Keep clear of flammable materials (paper, cur-
tains, etc.).
• Never leave the appliance unattended when it
is operating.
• Disconnect after every use. To do so, pull on the
plug or connector. To avoid damage, refrain from
pulling on the electric cord.
• The temperature regulator is a highly sensiti-
ve component. Protect it from falls and impacts
which could cause damage.
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
• Never submerge in water when connected.
• This appliance is not to be used by persons (or
children) whose physical, sensorial or mental ca-
pacities are impaired, or who have no experience
or knowledge, unless supervised or instructed in
the use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Refrain from touching the metal surface when
the appliance is being used. Use the cool-touch
handles.
• Keep the cord and temperature regulator clear
of all liquids. Refrain from twisting or bending the
cord while the appliance is working.

• If the temperature regulator fails while the
appliance is in use, turn it off immediately and
contact the technical service.
• The use of accessories not included in the pac-
kage may cause damage, including fire.
• Always use the temperature regulator that co-
mes with the griddle. Using different accessories
may cause damage.
• Do not make any modifications or repairs to
the appliance. In the event of any anomaly in the
cord or any other part of the appliance, do not
use it and take it to an authorised service centre.
• Make sure the cord does not come into contact
with sharp edges or hot surfaces. Do not leave
the cord hanging over the edge of a table or
worktop, to prevent children from pulling it and
causing the appliance to fall.
• Remove all elements from the inside or outsi-
de of the appliance used for protection during
transport or for sales promotions, such as paper
or plastic bags, plastic sheets, cardboard and
stickers.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet hands
when in operation.
• ELMA can not be held responsible for any da-
mage caused by improper installation or incorrect
use of the appliance.
The grill reaches high temperatures. Handle
it with care. Use the cold-touch handles to mani-
pulate it.
REMEMBER
This appliance may only be used to cook food. It
is not approved for uses different from those spe-
cified by the manufacturer.
