TA120 NOISE SENSOR MAINTENANCE GUIDE
MN_TA120_v0003_20220203_EN
Noise measuring sensor
recommends an annual acoustic check and a check of the condition of the TK120 outdoor
kit. It also recommends check BA120/BA127 battery every two years, en if these have been installed.
ACOUSTIC SENSITIVITY VERIFICATION
The TA120's sensitivity check should be performed with a Class 1 calibrator with metrology and current
checks, preferably always using the same calibrator on each of the TA120 sensors to be verified, and
the CESVA Sensor Manager configuration software. To carry out the sensitivity check of the TA120, the
following steps must be followed:
1.
Remove the 4 screws on the front cover with a screwdriver type PH2x100. Remove the front cover.
2.
Unscrew clockwise the bottom of the outdoor kit TK120 and carefully remove until you see the mi-
crophone.
3.
Ensure that the TA120 sensor is on (POWER switch in ON position and LED ON lit), otherwise the
TA120 sensor must be powered.
4.
Connect the USB cable between the TA120 sensor and PC. The USB connection of the TA120 sen-
sor is type
B.
5.
Run the "CESVA Sensor Manager" program on the PC and click "Connect".
6.
Insert the microphone gently but firmly into the hole of the calibrator. Make sure it enters the cavity
fully in a position parallel to the calibrator axis.

  • Page 2 “CESVA Sensor Manager” software”. • If the deviation is greater than 1.0 dB, TA120 should be sent to the CESVA technical service. Turn off the CESVA calibrator, and remove it from the sensor carefully. Carefully to not damage the microphone, insert TK120 outdoor kit. Screw clockwise using the base kit.
  • Page 3 NOTE: We advise that the old TK120 outdoor kit to be sent to CESVA facilities for recycling (C/ Maracaibo 6, 08030, Barcelona. Tel: 934 335 240). If the outdoor TK120 has been dropped or has any damage, the microphone may be damaged. In this case we recommend sending the full sensor to CESVA facilities so the technical service performs a check of the microphone.
