The ProMount* Model PB3-13 mounting bracket allows mounting of a PolyVision interactive
white board (IWB) at the manufacturer recommended height, when mounting over an existing white
or black board, regardless of the height of the existing chalk tray. In addition, the ProMount preserves
the finish of the existing surface by eliminating the need to drill holes in the existing board.
In the past, when mounting an IWB over an existing white board, the IWB had to usually be
located much higher than the manufacturer suggests, due to the existing white /or black board chalk
tray getting in the way of the IWB pen tray or board.

the existing board and attaching the brackets. The existing chalk tray has to be cut off, so it doesn't
interfere with the lower part of the IWB. This method makes a mess, takes valuable install time
and compromises the surface and tray of the existing white board - a real problem if the IWB is later
moved to another wall.
Until now, there were no easy solutions to this problem. The white board had to either be
compromised, or taken down - most times these boards are put up with adhesive, which requires
extensive wall repair when removed.
Now with the ProMount, there is an inexpensive way to place a PolyVision Board over an
existing board at the recommended height, and without damage to the underlying board!
