STARTUP AND ADJUSTMENT OF VPF-20 Poly-A Dosage Rates Initial use of Poly-A Tablets may cause filter pressures to rise within a few hours of application. Pressure differentials and flow rates will indicate the need for backwashing. It is not uncommon that a backwash is required within hours of an initial application of Poly-A, particularly if the pool water is cloudy. -
