  • Page 3 GENERAL SAFETY RULES This pump has been evaluated for use with water only. NOTE: This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and grounding- type attachment plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected only to a properly grounded, grounding type receptacle.
  • Page 4 • Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized outlet.
  • Page 5 • Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before plugging pump into power outlet. In the event of a power failure, while a pump is being used, turn the switch off to prevent surprise starting when power is restored. •...
