SUBFRAME INSTALLATION

1. Place joists around perimeter of
area to be decked, and connect
together using corner connectors
and 13mm screws
2. Level the frame to the required
height using the pedestals/
cradles supplied
(FIG 2)
Please note: Joist span capabilities:
DS22 400mm between supports
DS38 600mm between supports
DS72 1200mm between supports
(600mm if using DS72 with
RDC cradles)
Please note: Pedestals are prone to
be brittle in very cold temperatures so
additional care should be taken when
clipping joist into place
3. Attach main joists inside
perimeter frame, in a
perpendicular direction to
intended direction of decking
(FIG 3,4)
See joist span capabilities above
for pedestal spacing.
Please note: Joists must be
spaced at 350mm centres and fi xed
to perimeter joists using corner
connectors and 13mm screws
Please note: Wherever board ends
meet, a double joist is required to
board
4. Install perimeter profi le using
13mm screws
