    Safety instructions Safety instructions Intended use This device is intended to be used for electronic sound generation using a piano keyboard. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
  • Page 12 Safety instructions CAUTION! Possible hearing damage The device can produce volume levels that may cause temporary or permanent hearing impairment. Over an extended period of time, even levels that seem to be uncritical can cause hearing damage. Decrease the volume level immediately if you experience ringing in your ears or hearing impairment.

Before connecting an external power supply, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker.     Assembly instructions Assembly instructions Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.

Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period. NOTICE! Risk of fire due to incorrect polarity Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries.
  • Page 17 Assembly instructions Connecting the USB-C cable Make sure that the device is turned off before you connect it to the power supply or dis‐ connect it. Turn the volume control counterclockwise to minimum before connecting the USB-C cable and turning the keyboard on. This is to protect the speakers from damage. Connect a USB-C cable to the socket on the back of the keyboard.
  • Page 18 Assembly instructions Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the device and insert four AA size batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity. Always use batteries of the same type and do not use new and used batteries at the same time.

    Operating Operating 7.1 Powering up the keyboard Press [POWER] to turn on the keyboard. ð The keyboard is operational. Press [POWER] again to turn off the keyboard. 7.1.1 Automatic shutoff If the keyboard is not used for the set time (standard setting: 30 minutes), it switches itself off automatically to avoid unnecessary power consumption.

    Operating 7.2 Setting overall volume Use the rotary control [VOLUME] to set a comfortable volume for playing and practising. Turn the rotary control [VOLUME] clockwise to increase the volume. Turn the rotary control [VOLUME] counterclockwise to reduce the volume. 7.3 Octaving With this function you can octave the keyboard up or down.

    Operating 7.4 Transposing With this function you can adjust the pitch of the keyboard in semitone steps (12 at max.) up or down. Press [TRANSPOSE] to enable the transpose function. Press [ –] or [ +] to adjust the pitch of the keyboard in 6 semitone steps up or in 6 semi‐ tone steps down.

    Operating 7.7 Rhythm selection The keyboard offers 100 rhythms in total. Press [RHYTHM] to enable the Rhythm mode. Press [–] or [+] to select a desired rhythm (see Ä Chapter 9 ‘Rhythm list’ on page 40). ð The display shows the current rhythm number. Alternatively, you can use [0]…[9] to select the desired rhythm.
