What's in the Box?
Make sure you receive all items of
your shipment:
• ATCA-736x SATA Module
• Two M2x4 screws
• Printed Safety Notes
When installing or servicing the
module or accessories, strictly
observe the safety precautions in
the Safety Notes. Otherwise, per-
sonal injury or property damage
may occur.
2
Observe ESD-safe
Measures
• Use either a properly grounded ESD
wrist strap or make sure that you are
working in an ESD-safe environ-
ment.
• Connect to the ESD connector at the
front or the rear of the system.
3
Prepare the Installation
Site
• For information on the environmen-
tal and power requirements, see the
ATCA-736x SATA Module Installation
and Use manual.
• Operating temperatures refer to the
temperature of the air circulating
around the blade and not to the
actual component temperature.
4
Install the SATA Module
1. Remove the blade from the system.
2. If another accessory is installed in
the PMEM/SATA extension slot,
remove the accessory first, and then
plug the SATA module in the slot so
that its standoffs fit in the mounting
holes on the blade.
3. Fasten the SATA module to the blade
using the two screws that come with
the SATA module.
4. Reinstall the blade into the system.
The SATA module is detected auto-
matically during the boot-up
sequence.
