This product provides a solution for in-line access to small count fiber optic distribution cable and quick connection to subscribers single drop cable or to low count drop, feeder or lateral cable to be connected to single drop cable at another location.

3. General Warnings 3.1 Laser Light Warning Never look directly into the end of a fiber that may be carrying laser light. Laser light can be invisible and may be harmful to your eyes. Viewing it directly may not cause pain; therefore it will not cause blinking or the iris of the eye to close involuntarily as it does when viewing bright light.
4. Installation 4.1 Remove Fiber Jacketing Using the appropriate tool per cable type (flat drop stripper shown) cut and peel back 20” in total. 18” will be used for fiber breakout with 2” for the CSM clamp. Cut and remove the fiber jacketing exposing the fiber and the CSM (Central Strength Members).
4.5 Feed Connectors Through Entry Port Insert each connector one at a time through the open slot in the base of the Fiber Tap Plus. Be sure to follow the fiber bend radius as it may cause the fiber to kink and/or break.
Installation (Cont.) 4.9 Silicon Application Apply two beads of silicon along the front edge of the fiber inlet. Insert the silicone lines grommet into the fiber input. Some of the silicon should come out around the fiber. 4.10 Install Grommet to Base Depending on your product (available for flat drop or round cable application) install the appropriate grommet into the FTP base.

Installation (Cont.) 4.17 Place Cover Over Base Place the Fiber Tap Plus cover of the base in the orientation shown and ensure that the cover is seated correctly on the base before flipping the enclosure over safely. 4.18 Attach Base to Cover Using the supplied hardware attach the base to the cover in the six available locations.
5. Accessory List Multilink’s Fiber Tap Plus supports various options of grommets accommodating vast cable diameters, additional accessories some of which are included with the Fiber Tap Plus, and patch & splice options including field installable connector kits, and pigtails.
