NOTICE
Do not adjust the tension past three holes for a 180° door
opening or four (4) holes tension for a 90° opening.
Always position the tension bar to the left regardless of whether
it is being applied to a right or left-hand door.
CAUTION Use proper safety protection when installing and adjusting the
soft closing door hinge.
Step 1: Install the hinge to the door and frame with its adjustment head in the
upward position.
Step 2: Close the door.
Step 3: Insert the hex wrench into the Hex Hole as shown in figure A.
Step 4: Rotate the hex wrench (clockwise) and insert the TSP into the first hole
you see as shown in figure A.
Step 5: Allow the hex wrench to turn back (counter clockwise) until the TSP
makes contact with the right hand side of the TAR.
Step 6: Remove the hex wrench and test door for closing cycle and force.
Step 7: If the door doesn't close, repeat steps 2 through 6 until the door closes.
NOTICE Do not adjust the tension past 3 holes when a 180° opening is
required. Do not adjust the tension past 4 holes when a 90°
opening is required.
Step 8: After final adjustment, break/cut the (TSP) flush with the hinge barrel.
