Information on charging
The charging efficiency being very constant, your car battery can be re-used at full capacity
after 3–4 hours.
Charge display: The charger has several charge LEDs showing the respective charge state of
the battery.
Model GBL 6: The 0–75 % charge state LEDs go out when the display has reached max value.
This shows you that charging is complete.
Initial operation
The connection is simple: Connect the black terminal to the negative pole "–," and the red terminal to
the positive pole "+" of your battery. Select the appropriate charge voltage, 6 V or 12 V, and plug in the
plug.
General safety instructions
Read the entire manual before commissioning the device. If you have doubts concerning the connection
of the device, contact the manufacturer.
Protect the device against humidity and rain. FOR OPERATION TO BE AS SAFE AS POSSIBLE,
OBEY TO THE FOLLOWING:
Attention!
Pull out the plug when the device is unused.
Explosive gases develop during charging; avoid sparks and open fire or smoking in the area.
Only charge the battery in well-ventilated rooms. It is strictly forbidden to operate the device
inside a car or under the bonnet closed.
Never charge standard batteries and batteries that require maintenance at the same time.
Never charge single-use batteries.
Provide sufficient space behind the device for ventilating.
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Check the correct acid level of the battery.
Always check the good condition of the power cable and terminal cables. If the power cable is
damaged, immediately contact a qualified person to replace the cable.
The device must not be exposed to atmospheric influence such as rain or snow.
The device must not be operated barefoot; do not touch it with damp hands or feet.
Do not pull out the plug by pulling on the cable or pulling at the device itself.
Do not permit children or unauthorised persons to use the device.
Do not leave the device switched-on and unattended, it can be dangerous.
