  • Page 3 Powering your Rotary Beacon our Rotary Beacon operates best at 14 volts (AC) and can be powered through track power or an external power source. To connect to an external power source, you will need a transformer such as a CW-80 (available separately, 6-14198). If you wish to connect to a tra- ditional FasTrack layout, make connections under the track piece of your choosing.
  • Page 4 If you choose to power your beacon using TMCC or LEGACY, you will need either an SC-2 (available separately, 6-22980), an ASC (available separately, 6-14182), or an ASC2 (available separately, 6-81639).
  • Page 5 ASC or ASC2 wiring and operation hree wires are needed to connect your accessory to the ASC or ASC2 and a separate accesso- ry transformer. Refer to Figure 4. 1. Attach a wire to the transformer Common/Ground/U terminal and connect it to the COMM (common) position on the ASC or ASC2.
  • Page 6 Replacement drive washers (Lionel part no. 600-2494-050) are available from your Authorized Lionel Dealer or from Lionel Service. To replace, peel the worn washer off the lamp housing, and install the new washer using rubber cement or mucilage.
  • Page 7 Rotary Beacon, gently lift the lamp housing off the lamp socket (see illustration above). Turn the lamp counterclockwise, then pull it straight up out of the socket. Replace the lamp with Lionel part no. 600-0363-300, available from Lionel Service.
  • Page 8 (this warranty is non-transferrable) to Lionel LLC or any Lionel Authorized Service Station MUST be accompanied by the original receipt for purchase (or copy) from an Authorized Lionel Retailer*, will at the discretion of Lionel LLC, be repaired or replaced, without charge for parts or labor. In the event the defective product cannot be repaired, and a suitable replacement is not available, Lionel will offer to replace the product with a comparable model (determined by Lionel LLC), if available.
