Mantenimiento 7.1 Mantenimiento diario del Scrubber Con el tiempo, la solución de carbonato de sódio y el acido sulfúrico ataca el reci- piente de vidrio. Limpiar, con agua abundante, las botellas de Scrubber después de su utilización. Revisar, visualmente, cada mes el estado de las mangueras y si se observan fugas sustituirlas.

The system uses a scrubber unit than retains the acid condensations under a Na solution, and a water circulation pump that provides a big flow rate of vacuum to fume suction.

It is not necessary to install the whole chain into an extrac- tion cabinet, but the room must have windows or air removal system to ventilate if some time any gas leakage is produced (The Kjeldahl digestion gases are not toxic but irritant).

Clean the Scrubber bottles with abundant water after use. Monthly visually check the hoses status and, if losses are found, change them. 7.2 Vacuum pump maintenance Never left the vacuum pump filled of used water after the digestion process.
