  • Page 2 INTRODUCTION This bulletin covers the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of the 2018 Accord Hybrid.   • Page 3 PDI PROCEDURES Before Starting Review these items:  Perfect Delivery documents, especially the information on battery maintenance and tire pressures  Checklist in the PDI and Final Delivery Checklist booklet Make sure you record the PDI on the appropriate pages of the checklist. The PDI is not done until this bulletin and the checklist are both complete.
  • Page 4 3. Start the engine by pressing the POWER button while pressing the brake. The indicator will go from steady white to steady red. You must start the engine within 10 seconds of touching the remote to the button. Get familiar with the jacking and lift points shown below. Use of any other points can cause deformation/damage.   • Page 5 Install the Fuses To lower battery drain during vehicle shipping, the No. 27 BACKUP (10 A) and No. 24 AUDIO (15 A) fuses are removed from the under-hood fuse box and stored in the center pocket in front of the cup holder. Make sure you turn the ignition to OFF and wait for at least 1 minute before installing those fuses.
  • Page 6 Vehicle Interior Remove the Interior Protective Coverings There are several protective coverings on the interior trim pieces and on some areas of the carpet. Carefully remove all of them. Be sure your hands are clean to avoid soiling any surfaces. If the vehicle has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remove the protective covering by pulling the top toward you.
  • Page 7 Check the coolant level in the expansion tank. Make sure it is between the MAX mark (A) and MIN mark (B). If the coolant level is at or below the MIN mark, add Honda Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2 to bring it to the MAX mark.

  • Page 9 Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Half-Height) Install the Front License Plate Holder If state regulations require the use of a front license plate, install the front license plate holder as shown. Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Ground) Set the Tire Pressures Set the tire pressures according to the driver’s doorjamb label.
  • Page 10 Start the TPMS Calibration Process This vehicle has an indirect TPMS. Unlike other systems that directly measure air pressure, an indirect TPMS uses the VSA wheel speed sensors to monitor and compare tire characteristics while driving and determine when one or more tires are significantly underinflated.
  • Page 11 Vehicle Interior Check Remote Engine Start with Vehicle Feedback Starting the Power System NOTE: Make sure all doors, the hood, and the trunk are closed before remotely starting the engine. Press the Lock button, then, within 5 seconds, press and hold the Remote Engine Start button until the exterior lights blink once.
  • Page 12 Set the Clock (Trim Levels with Color Audio) Turn the ignition to ON, then follow these steps: 1. Press and hold the MENU/CLOCK button. 2. Select Adjust Clock with the LIST/SELECT knob, then press the knob to enter your selection. 3.
  • Page 13 Check the ACC, LKAS, and Safety Support Indicators When you first turn the ignition to ON, these indicators should come on for a few seconds, then go off.  ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)  LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System)  Safety Support Check the Head-Up Warning (HUW) Indicator (If Equipped) When your first turn the ignition to ON, the HUW indicator should flash, then go off.
  • Page 14 NEW MODEL SERVICE INFORMATION Use of Custom License Plate Frames Because the millimeter wave radar unit is at the lower part of the front bumper, never apply paint, stickers, or non-genuine accessories to the front of the radar unit or its surrounding area. Be particularly careful that a custom license plate frame or other accessory does not block any part of the radar beam’s path.
