    • Use DSS70 at temperatures between +5 C (41 Fahrenheit) and C (131 Fahrenheit). • Make sure that DSS70 is at least one meter away from any radio equipment, such as pagers, television sets, device containing coils, otherwise its performance may be impaired.

  • Page 15 The Programmable Keys • As explained, DSS70 houses in all 70 keys. These keys are functionally divided into five groups viz. Extension line DSS keys, Trunk DSS keys, Main keys, Dialing keys and Special function keys.

    Doing so the system restarts. If the handshake between DSS70 and the system is proper, “OPERATOR ABSENT” message is displayed on the LCD. If DSS70 is to be taken out of service, it should be deactivated. This could be done either from DSS70 or any other extension.

This ring draws operator’s attention to the arrival of a new call. DSS70 allows four modes of programming for ringer. Code Mode Description The ringer is never activated.

  • Page 23 Focus/Empire System Manual. Key Click: Any key of the DSS70 is pressed, it produces a sharp beep. This is known as key click. Key click assures the operator about sure depression of the key. The key click is very useful if the operator surrounding is noisy.
  • Page 24 Matrix When there are no calls pending on the DSS70, these counts show “00”. If a fresh trunk call lands on the DSS70, the count becomes “10”. The moment the operator answers the call, the count becomes “00” again. Programmable Keys: All 70 keys on the DSS70 are programmable.
