Page 1 Product Description The Free Range Feeder design was developed to satisfy the needs of the hobbyist and the homesteader. The convertible design allows for several mounting methods. See the installation sections of the manual to decide which will work best for you.

Refer to the parts list for part identity. 1. Lay the left panel (3) on your assembly surface. 2. Slide the back panel (2) and left panel (3) together, as shown. 3.

Page 4 4. Turn the feeder to where the front is facing you and place the front panel (1) into position and attach with 3 screws. 5. Place the right side panel (4) on the assembly with the top edge slightly below the other panels as shown.

Page 5 7. Attach the right side panel to the front panel with 3 screws. 8. Turn the feeder to where the back is facing you and use 2 screws to loosely secure the back panel and the right side together. Do not tighten at this time.

Page 6 10. Insert the two shoulder bolts through both sides of the lid, ensuring they are securing all three layers together (the lid, back and right panels). 11. Install the nuts onto the shoulder bolts with your Allen key and wrench. The shoulder bolts are properly tightened if 3 threads are exposed past the nut.

Page 7 14. Gently tighten each of the rear panel screws. These will be loosened again during installation. 15. Orient the feeder on its top. 16. Install the tray facing forward or rearward facing depending on your installation requirement. Use the pair of holes that will provide the appropriate gap for feed to flow into the tray.
Page 8 Installation – Surface Mount For a quality installation, mount the feeder onto studs or other solid surface capable of bearing the weight of the feeder when it is full. 1. Remove the back panel screws that are not securing the mount plates.

Page 9 3. Orient the feeder on the surface to which you wish to mount it. The height of the bottom of the feed tray is approximately 7 inches for average chickens. Adjust this height as necessary for your livestock. 4.
Page 10 Installation – Through Wall with Reverse Tray Watch the video at https://freerangefeeder.com/video/cf-installation.html This installation method permits the feeder to be installed through the wall of your coop. This allows the food to be dispensed inside while the feeder can still be filled from outside.

Page 12 4. Loosen the mounting plate screws, rotate the plates into position as shown and re- install and tighten all 8 back panel screws. 5. Push the feeder to the top of the hole and secure the mount plates to the wall with appropriate fasteners.
