Note: floating contacts
The factory-installed jumper (L) to L can be removed where
required. The controller then switches floating between (L) and UP
or DOWN.

The LUMINA DUO shutter and blinds controller provides you with unique opportunities for
adapting the functions to your own requirements. There are two different modes
available:
1. DUOMATIC (delivery mode).
Daily programme (same UP and DOWN times every day, holiday programme, inching
mode, summertime/wintertime changeover, floating contact, terminals for sunlight/twilight
sensor.
You can choose from 3 modes:
man
Manual control
Automatic 1 (daily programme)
Automatic 1 + Random
Hold the mode button for longer than 2 seconds to scroll through possible function modes
in seconds.
2. LUMINA
Two weekly programmes (up to 2 UP and DOWN times per day), inching mode, holiday
programme,
summertime/wintertime
sunlight/twilight sensor.
Seven modes are available:
man
Manual control
Automatic 1 (weekly programme 1)
Automatic 2 (weekly programme 2)
Automatic 1 + 2
Automatic 1 + Random
Automatic 2 + Random
Automatic 1 + 2 + Random
Selecting the mode and connecting the sensor
The controller is delivered with the factory setting Duomatic mode. The SD slot for the
sunlight/twilight sensor is filled with a connector and a wire jumper. To change the
controller over to the Lumina mode pull the connector out or remove the jumper at the
connector (see the illustration).
The timer can also be changed over when the sunlight/twilight sensor is used. Removing
the jumper does not affect the sunlight/twilight function and serves only to set the mode.
Manual mode
Holding a direction button longer than 1 s. sets the shutters in motion; they stop when the
button is pressed again. The sunlight and twilight settings have no effect in the Manual
mode.
Automatic mode
In the Automatic mode the shutters are raised or lowered automatically at pre-
programmed switching times and taking account of the sunlight/twilight settings (where an
SD sensor is connected). In addition, manual operations are possible at any time using the
direction buttons. This does not cause the system to leave the Automatic mode.
Switchover MAN – AUTO
Where required you can switch between Manual and Automatic mode at any time by
pressing the mode button.
Random generator (holiday switching)
Random
- this mode moves the programmed Down or Up times back on a random
basis by 1-31 minutes. With this "holiday switching" option your house looks as if it is
occupied in your absence.
Inching mode
Touch the direction buttons (about 1 s.) to slant the blind slats. The system remains in the
Automatic mode.
EMERGENCY STOP safety function
If the connected tube motor is stopped manually by pressing a button (AP/DOWN/Mode)
when an automatic UP or DOWN command is being carried out, the controller jumps
automatically to the Manual mode (man). This EMERGENCY STOP function ensures that
every automatic move command can be stopped at any time in cases of danger by
pressing any button and that no additional move commands can be carried out that are
triggered automatically (e.g. through switching times or sensor commands). Press the
mode button to reactivate the Automatic mode.
Sunlight function (SD sensor required)
The controller detects the insertion or removal of the sensor automatically after a few
seconds. The item "Sunlight sensor" is therefore released or blocked in the programming
menu with the "Sun" symbol. In this menu item you can switch the controller's sunlight
function on and off or recalibrate the brightness value. The calibration takes over the
current brightness as the brightness limit value. If the preset brightness is exceeded, this is
acknowledged immediately in the timer's display with the "Sun" symbol. If the preset
brightness is exceeded for 10 minutes, the shutter moves down to the sensor. The
shutter's position is checked in addition every 60 minutes on the basis of the changing
angle of incidence. If the actual brightness value falls below the preset brightness value,
the "Sun" symbol disappears from the display. If the actual value remains below the preset
brightness value for 10 minutes, the shutter moves up again accordingly. The sunlight
function is only active in the Automatic 1 mode.
Twilight function (SD sensor required)
The programming item "Twilight function" with the "Moon" symbol is released as soon as
an SD sensor is connected. The operator can switch the twilight function on and off or
recalibrate the twilight value. The calibration takes over the current brightness as the
twilight limit value. The twilight mode is only active in Automatic 1 mode after a preset
down move time. If the actual value falls below the preset twilight value, this is
acknowledged immediately in the timer's display with the "Moon" symbol. If the actual
value remains below the preset twilight value for 10 minutes, the shutter moves down.
