SmartKitchen Waste Scale with touch screen (WSS) is
designed for monitoring the food waste in professional
kitchens and contract catering companies. There are two
different scale models available. The scale is operated with
the included Android tablet.

- Page 2 1. Activate the WasteScale to your SmartKitchen account. From the “Food waste” menu, select “Scales and manual measuring locations” and Add SmartKitchen scale. 2. Create the waste categories and items in SmartKitchen service. See the more detailed instructions in FoodWasteTracker general guide (smartkitchen.solutions/support)
- Page 3 6. Turn on the scale by plugging in the power supply. The green LED on the side of the scale lights up when the device is ready for operation. 7. Open the “WasteScale” app from the tablet desktop and sign in with your SmartKitchen credentials. 8. Select the correct scale from the settings in the application menu.
- Page 4 The weight of the container is automatically reduced from the weight saved. The containers used for weighing are defined in advance in the SmartKitchen service. The container to be used is selected in the application before the waste is recorded. During recording, the name of the selected container and its weight will also be displayed next to the weight.
