Nuage 5 Use Nuage PLS seating systems are intended for use on tilt-in-space wheelchairs. The tilt makes it possible to easily change the seating position. It also reduces prolonged pressure on body parts and is, therefore, important for your health and comfort. -

Please note that a seating posture belt or fixation belt is not a safety belt. 5.4 Adjusting the seating system The adjustment possibilities and the way of adjusting depend on the wheelchair frame on which the Nuage PLS seating system is mounted. Note! Refer to information about wheelchair-specific adjustment options ( Wheelchair). - Page 12 How to set up the seating system can differ by wheelchair make and model. The wheelchair- specific settings are marked with the addition ‘(wheelchair-specific)’. In this manual, the instructions and figures refer to the set-up of a Nuage PLS system on an Ibis wheelchair with Sedeo Pro seating system. Note! If you have a different wheelchair, i.e. not an Ibis with Sedeo Pro, check your wheelchair’s manual ( Wheelchair) or contact your dealer.

Nuage 6.2 Seat and backrest shells The seat (D) and backrest (E) shells have a number of slotted holes. These slotted holes are intended to make it simple to make a large number of different adjustments using the webbing straps. The middle row of slots is for standard use (as indicated in figure 9). The other positions can be used to, for example, better follow the body contour or compensate for pelvic obliquity. - Page 14 Nuage Given that the required seat width differs per person, the Nuage PLS and the Nuage PLS Active seating systems come as standard with a split threshold cushion (C) made up of four segments. The two outer segments and two inner segments are kept together by a Velcro strip.

Nuage 6.5 Pelvic obliquity Create an asymmetrical support by choosing different slotted holes (F1 to F5) left and right. Loop the webbing straps (B) through slotted holes (F1 to F5) or, if required, over edge (G), and tension. 6.6 Leg length discrepancy Move one of the seat shells (D1) forwards. To do so, loosen the armrest holder, slide it in the rail towards the front of the seat and fasten again. On (D1) shift the position of the webbing straps (B) one slot position to the rear. -

Nuage 6.8 Dorsal obliquity Create an asymmetrical support by choosing different slotted holes (J1 to J3) left and right. Loop the webbing straps (B) through slotted holes (J1 to J5) or, if required, over edge (G), and tension. 6.9 Tensioning the cover Free the cover back flap (O) by detaching the Velcro ends (P) at the bottom of the flap from the Velcro surfaces on the seat shells. Untie the elastic rope (Q) in the hem of the cover. Position the cover as required. Tension and secure the elastic rope (Q). Close the back flap (O) by attaching the Velcro ends (P) to the Velcro surfaces on the seat shells. 6.10 Cushion filling Remove the cover (A). Open the zipper (R). Add or remove filling (S). - Page 17 Nuage 6.11 Seat width (wheelchair specific) Determine the space you want between the shells. Bear in mind the thickness of the contour cushion. The right space between the edges of the shells (T) is twelve centimetres more than the required seat width (U), i.e.: (T) = (U) + 12 cm. Rough adjustment When mounting the seat, choose the screw hole pattern that fits the required seat width range: 30cm to 40cm, 40cm to 50cm, or over 50cm.

Nuage 6.13 Backrest width The seat width and backrest width are separately adjustable, so that a good position can be attained for people with broad hips/small shoulders as well as people with small hips/broad shoulders. If required, loosen the straps by detaching the Velcro ends on one end from the Velcro surfaces of the shells. - Page 19 Nuage 6.16 Angle backrest shells (wheelchair specific) If required, loosen straps (D). Loosen screws for shell angle adjustment (E). Turn backrest shells (B) inwards or outwards. Fasten (E) again. Tension the straps (D). 6.17 Backrest angle (wheelchair specific) 1. Turn (F) to adjust the inclination angle of the backrest (G). Warning! Alternatively, the wheelchair can be equipped with optional gas spring-actuated angle adjustment ( Wheelchair).

**Other specifications depend fully on the wheelchair on which the seating system is fitted. 9 Warranty Keizer, being the manufacturer of the Nuage PLS seating system, issues a 1-year warranty for the seat and backrest shells and assembly set. Keizer also issues a 1-year warranty for the quality of the stitching of contour cushions and terry cloth covers. Warranty claims will be accepted only in the event of a manufacturing fault. -
