  • Page 16 Ventus-2cM FLIGHT MANUAL Descriptive data The “Ventus-2cM” is a flap equipped, single-seat high performance powered sailplane (capable of self-launching) constructed from fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), featuring a T-tail (fixed horiz. stabilizer with elevator, fin and rudder). It can be flown in 15 m or 18 m configuration.
  • Page 17 Power plant The „Ventus-2cM“ is the self-launching variant of sailplane model “Ventus-2c”. The “Ventus-2cM” is powered by an liquid-cooled 37 kW (49.6 HP) SOLO engine type 2625-01 - having a 3 : 1 toothed belt reduction drive. The power plant is housed in the fuselage aft of the wing, and an electrical spindle drive pivots it such that the propeller pylon extends from the engine bay.

Prior to rigging, all connecting points (pins and corresponding bearings) on fuse lage, wing and tailplane should be cleaned and greased.

When pushing the aircraft by hand, it should not be pushed at its wing tips, but as near to the fuselage as possible.
