    Thank you for selecting the A50E Expandable Amplified Handset from ClearSounds Communications. This manual is designed to familiarize you with the A50E Expandable Handset setup, regis- tration and basic functions. For detailed operational instructions, please refer to the ClearSounds A50 User Manual.

    13. Do not use the telephone to report a gas leak in the vicinity of the leak. Installation & Operation Component List Your expandable handset system consists of an A50E HANDSET, CHARGER UNIT, BELT CLIP, 3 AAA NiMH RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES, AC ADAPTER AND OWNER’S MANUAL.

  • Page 4: Handset Battery Charging

    When the handset batteries get low during a call, there will be a warning tone and the low battery icon will appear on the Caller ID display. Simply place A50E handset into the charger to begin recharging. Make sure the contact points are touching and the charge indicator LED is lit RED.
  • Page 5 Addendum A50 HANDSET REGISTRATION Begin with handsets fully charged for 24 hours. Remove all handsets from the charging bases, bringing all of them to the main base and setting them on the counter right next to the main charging base. (The handsets cannot be registered while they are in the charging base).

    Cordless Expandable Amplified Telephone System. Headset Operation Your A50E handset is equipped with a 2.5mm headset jack for use with an optional acces- sory headset for hands-free operation. If you choose to use the headset option, you must obtain an optional accessory headset, which is compatible with the handset.

    Clean it only with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water or mild soap. Do not use excess water or cleaning solvents of any kind. For optimum performance, regularly clean the metal charge contact located in the charge cradle and on the bottom of the A50E handset. Gently rub the contacts with a clean pencil eraser.   • Page 23 Recargue las baterías. Para ello basta con colocar el auricular A50E en el cargador. Verifique que los puntos de carga hagan contacto y que el indicador de carga emita una luz ROJA.
  • Page 24 Funcionamiento con audífonos El auricular A50E está provisto de un terminal hembra de 2,5 mm para conexión de audífonos que permiten el uso opcional del teléfono en la modalidad de manos libres. Si decide utilizar el auricular con audífonos, éstos deberán ser compatibles con el auricular.

    No la limpie con demasiada agua ni con disolventes de ningún tipo. Para que el aparato tenga un rendimiento óptimo, limpie periódicamente los contactos de carga metálicos ubicados en el cargador y la parte de abajo del auricular A50E. Frote suavemente los contactos con un borrador de lápiz limpio.
