The C2000 shelf does not use the SWITCH_SLOT_IPADDR variable. 8.3.4 Restoring Factory Settings Once changed, you cannot restore the factory settings. Lost or forgotten IPs mean that you cannot access the ATCA-MF105 anymore. Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
(server or PC) outside the Centellis 2000 system is required. This computer acts as a DHCP and TFTP server for the blades within the Centellis 2000 shelf. This server must reside in the same subnet as the Centellis 2000 system. Figure 9-1 DHCP/TFTP Server Setup The following configuration examples assume that this host runs the Linux operating system.
3. If there are any TFTP daemons that have not timed out, you must stop them. To do so, enter the following command: killall in.tftpd Your TFTP server is now configured. Providing Linux Kernel and initial ramdisk To provide Linux kernel and initial ramdisk, proceed as follows: Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)

10.2.1 Cold Standby In Centellis 2000 systems, the shelf managers work in redundancy mode, this means that the HPI daemon runs on the active shelf manager and is started on the former stand-by shelf manager once it has become the active one.
Outside the AdvancedTCA shelf with interlinks between the ATCA-MF105 hubs The system manager pings via its own active IP address to the active virtual IP address of the shelf manager. Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
10.2.3.3 Shelf Manager Failover Failover is a process when the standby shelf manager becomes the active one because the active shelf manager fails. The reasons for the shelf manager failover can be: Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
To power down the standby ATCA-MF105, the system manager performs the following steps: 1. Reads the HPI redundancy sensor to detect which physical ATCA-MF105 is active Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)

It can be safely extracted afterwards. This is indicated by an illuminated blue LED on the front panel of the ATCA-MF105. The active shelf manager sends an HPI redundancy event (redundancy lost) to the system manager. Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)

In the shipping box of each Centellis 2000 shelf/system, the following CD is enclosed: ATCA-MF105 firmware In the case of a Centellis 2000 system equipped with node blades, an additional CD for the node blades is delivered. It includes the following packages: Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
11.2.2 BBS Installation If your Centellis 2000 shelf is equipped with SMART EC node blades, you need to install the Basic Blade Services (BBS) software on the node blades as described in the respective Basic Blade Services Software Programmer’s Reference. The BBS installation automatically installs all necessary files.
This section describes the steps that are carried out by the software when a blade is inserted or supposed to be extracted. For the actual hardware installation procedures refer to the documentation of the blade. Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
To change this, you need to change the shelf FRU information via the HPI FRU activation control. The default for the Auto Insert Timer in HPI is 60 s. Figure 11-1 Blade Power-On After Insertion Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
It may take a long time before the payload has finished carrying out all necessary steps and the blade can be powered down. Figure 11-2 Blade Power-down Before Extraction Centellis 2000 Shelf - AC Installation and Use (6806800J87P)
