wash yourself thoroughly. Treat lubricants used in
accordance with the provisions of anti-pollu- tion
law.
- At the end of the maintenance and repair, before
restarting the machine, make sure that the work is
completed, the safety devices are reactivated and
guards are replaced.
- Never touch the moving parts or interpose
between them keeping a safe distance.
- Periodically check the tightness of the screws and
the nuts.
- It is absolutely forbidden to remove or tamper with
the safety devices.
- Machine maintenance must only be carried out
with the tractor unplugged, by qualified person-
nel and following the instructions given in this
Manual and in the attached manuals.
- Do not start and/or work on the generator with
wet hands or feet to avoid possible shocks caused
by electrocution.
- Before any maintenance operation, make sure
that no accidental starting of the Generator Set is
possible.
- Do not touch the alternator with your limbs when
the generator is running or is still hot.
- The presence of people equipped with pacemakers
(or other medical devices) in the vicinity of the
generator is strictly prohibited due to possible
electromagnetic interference on cardio-circu-
latory devices.
- It is absolutely forbidden to leave flammable
liquids or rags soaked in flammable liquid on or
near the generator.
- As a precaution, in the unfortunate event of fire or
accident, keep a powder extinguisher and a first
aid kit near the machine. Periodically check the
contents of the kit and restore if necessary.
- Do not put out any flames on the machine with
water.
- Prepare a list of emergency telephone numbers to
be used in the event of an accident.
- Do not leave the Generator Set exposed to heat
sources, humidity and bad weather.
- Keep electrical cables and connections in good
condition. Using equipment in poor condition can
lead to electrocution and equipment damage.
- Do not use faulty or temporarily badly insulated
cables.
- It is absolutely forbidden to carry out any
operation on live parts that are normally not
accessible. It is absolutely mandatory, before any
intervention on the generator, to stop the tractor,
detach the cardan shaft and wait for all the moving
parts to stop.
DANGER
The generator is a machine that, if used correctly,
provides a useful service; if, vice ver- sa, it is used
clumsily and superficially, it can be dangerous in
particular due to the fact that the generator is a
producer of electricity with all the annexes and
connected items.
ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE
AND EVEN DEATH.
Failure to comply with what is shown in Section
«2. Safety and Prevention» and any tampering of
the safety devices, relieve the Manufacturer from
any responsibility in case of accidents, damage or
malfunctions of the machine.
3. TRANSPORTATION AND HANDLIG

3.1 HANDLING OF THE GENERATOR

Usually, the Generator Set is shipped wrapped in
a plastic bubble wrap, fixed on a pallet with plastic
strap, which can be easily moved by forklift (Fig. 3)
or pallet truck. Should the need to make transfers
arise, the Generator Set of the
«G-THOR» range can be easily loaded on suitable
vehicles, or unloaded, using a normal forklift truck as
shown in Fig. 3.
DANGER
Handling operations (loading/unloading) can be very
dangerous if not carried out with the utmost care.
Therefore, before starting the unloading, remove
the unauthorized persons; clear and delimit the area
in which the operation takes place, and check the
integrity and suit- ability of the lifting and transport
means available. It must also be ensured that the
