2.2 Windows Me, 2000 & XP Driver Installation
These operating systems have built-in support for the Cables To Go FlyDrive. Simply plug
the clear USB connector of FlyDrive into a free USB slot and a Removable Disk icon will
appear in Explorer.
2.3 Unplugging the FlyDrive
In Windows you must follow the safe removal procedure before you unplug the FlyDrive.
Click (with the left button) on the safe removal icon (circled above) and a little window will
appear.
If Windows had allocated the letter E to the FlyDrive then click on Stop USB Mass Storage
Device – Drive(E:) - or whatever drive letter windows has allocated to your FlyDrive.
A Safe to Remove Hardware window will appear and you can now unplug the FlyDrive from
the USB port. Click OK to close the window.
Important Notice!
Don't unplug the FlyDrive from its USB port until Windows has completed
writing data.
Data corruption may occur if you do not follow the safe removal procedure
in Windows ME and Windows 2000 system. Other operating systems may
also cache the write data to the drive and you need to unmount it.
