This Addendum shall be read in conjunction with and considered as an integral part of the Contract Documents;
revisions supersede the information contained in the original specifications or previously issued Addendum.
Price submitted shall include all items of this Addendum.
No consideration will be allowed for any extra due to any Proponent not being familiar with the contents of
this Addendum. This addendum consists of two (2) pages and two (2) attachments as follows:

By this Addendum No. 3, dated January 24, 2022, the Request for Proposal documents for the Creston
Composting Facility Operations and Maintenance shall be amended as specified below.

Page 4, Section 1.2: Executive Summary
The last paragraph which reads:

It is anticipated that the Town of Creston will be commencing a curbside organics waste collection

    WARRANTY Supreme International Limited Warranty Statement(s) Supreme International Limited offers a limited one (1) year parts and labour warranty on Supreme International Limited and Segue processors against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use when used and maintained in accordance with the operator’s manual or instructions. The one (1) year limited warranty period begins at the date the unit is delivered to the original purchaser.

    Augers The augers in models 900T, 1000T, 1200T, 1400T, 1600T, 1500TR and 1700TR Supreme Feed Processors rotate at 40 RPM. If equipped with a VFD auger RPM can be varied during operation.

    SETUP AND CONFIGURATION Extended Backing Plates In certain applications the addition of extended backing plates can improve the performance of the feed processor. Keep in mind that adding extended backing plates will cause an increase in horsepower requirements. Never place an extended backing plate on the very top knife position of an auger.

    SETUP AND CONFIGURATION Side Door Discharge Units The sidewalls on most models are more perpendicular to the tub floor than the front and rear walls. Standard units with a rear center door have angled or sloped front and rear walls. As feed is sliding down the tub walls with the discharge door open, gravity helps discharge the feed.

    Loading Sequence and Mixing The sequential loading of your Supreme Feed Processor is crucial to achieving desirable mixing results. It is an absolute must that dry forages be loaded and coarsely cut first. Other heavier ingredients must always follow dry forages.
