    THERMAL CAMERA FLIR FC-344-T2, FC-332-T2, FC-324-T2, AND FC-317-T2 INSTALLATION GUIDE The installation and maintenance guide provides an overview of the thermal FLIR camera and hardware components, plus instructions on their assembling into a fully functional camera unit. It is designated as an aid for traffic engineers, signal technicians and contractors. The document covers the mounting and installation requirements for deploying the camera at the intersection, so that the detection quality could be nothing but outstanding.

    Introduction FLIR Thermal is a small, bullet type, easy to install camera unit, delivering high-quality images at up to 200ft from the stop bar. The camera provides accurate and reliable imaging to help improve traffic flow by using heat signatures on which the smallest of detail can be seen. The sensors are designed for long-term exposure to the sun by means of shortpass filters.
  • Page 4 Fig. 1 Camera mounting bracket Fig. 2 Bracket attached to camera 2. Attach the universal camera mounting bracket to the corresponding mating bracket on the camera pole on the mast arm using 2x serrated flanged 3/8-16 x ¾” bolts and nuts (or similar).
  • Page 5 3. Remove the top cover of the camera by accessing the 4x hex socket head screws in the corners, through the slots in the rain/sun shield. Use the included hex key tool from FLIR to open the camera enclosure. 4. Locate the bag of remaining parts. This bag contains cone shaped gland opening plugs, a gland replacement plug, and a green power connector.

Then, insert the rubber seal completely into the gland housing. 11. Install the cap over the end, but do not fully tighten. Pull excess wire out of the camera and then tighten the gland cap completely.
