The device is not charged when you take it out of the box.
The battery should be charged for at least 8 hours before first use. Please use the charger

    TODAY SCREEN The Today screen shows your upcomng appontments, actve tasks, and nformaton about e-mal messages. To customise background items on the Today Screen on your device Tap Start > Settings > Personal tab > Today. On the Appearance tab, select the desired theme for the background of the Today screen. You can use one of your own pictures as the background image on the Today screen by selecting :“Use this picture as the background”...

    RINGTONE AND NOTIFICATIONS To change the ringtone From the Phone keypad, tap Menu > Options > Phone tab. In the Ringtone list, tap the sound you want to use. NOTE: To use custom *.wav, *.mid, *.mp3, or *.wma fi les as ringtones, use ActiveSync on your PC to copy the fi le to the /Windows/Rings folder on your device.

    SIM SECURITY To protect your phone with a PIN From the Phone keypad, tap Menu > Options > Phone tab. Tap Require PIN when phone is used. To change the PIN at any time, tap Change PIN. NOTE: Emergency calls can be placed at any time, without requiring a PIN. To protect your device with a password You can help keep your data more secure by requrng a password every tme the devce s turned on.

  • Page 40 MAKING A CAll Lke a standard moble phone, you can use your -mate Wndows Moble ™, ® Pocket PC Phone Edton devce to make, receve, and keep track of calls. You can also take notes whle talkng, dal drectly from Contacts, and easly copy SIM contacts to Contacts on the devce.

To search for a contact enter the desired name and number in the search fi eld, or press the letter corresponding to the name in the alphabet bar. Tap the desired contact, and press TALK twice (once to send the number to the Phone keypad, and once to dial the number).
