4. ASSEMBLY & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1.
Assembly.
4.1.1. Remove items from packing and ensure everything is in good order and condition. If you experience any problem contact your supplier
immediately.
4.1.2. Chose the appropriate grinding attachment suited for the job and attach it to the tool using the two wrenches
to open and secure the chuck.
4.2.
Operating the grinder.
The SA672-3 is designed for finishing small metallic items or similar materials, and for grinding in difficult hard
to reach areas. We do not recommend any other use.
4.2.1. Ensure the RPM rating of accessories are equal or exceed the RPM rating of the grinder.
4.2.2. Attach the grinder to the air supply read chapter 3.
4.2.3. To start the grinder squeeze the throttle accordingly (fig 2).
4.2.4. If there is no means of regulating the air, the air grinder regulator can be used as an air throttle.
Adjust the air regulator knob for maximum power.
4.2.5. When work is complete clean the grinder and accessories and store in a dry, safe, childproof area.
5. MAINTENANCE
Maintenance must only be undertaken by qualified persons. Ensure the grinder is disconnected from the air supply before commencing.
5.1
Lubrication.
Lubricate the air tool daily with a good grade of air tool oil such as Sealey ATO/500 or ATO/1000. If air tool oil is unavailable, a rust
inhibitive oil available from auto supply stores is acceptable for air tools. Pour a teaspoon of oil into the tool's air inlet or into the hose
at the nearest connection to the air supply then run the grinder for a short time.
5.2.
Factors effecting grinder performance.
The follow are factors which may cause loss of power or erratic grinding action.
a) Reduced compressor output. b) Excessive drain on the air line. c) Moisture or restrictions in air pipes.
d) Wrong size hose connections.
e) Grit or gum deposits in tool may cut power. Correct by cleaning the air strainer and flushing out tool with gum solvent oil or an equal
mixture of SAE no.10 oil and kerosene.
f) If unspecified problems arise check for worn or damaged internal parts, replace and lubricate Alternatively take tool to your nearest
authorised service dealer.
