    Introduction These operating instructions describe the safe use of telescopic ladders in combination with the Leitertec-System©. The operating instructions must be read before use and kept for later reference. Any associated operating instructions must also be observed.     Safety instructions When employing the telescopic ladder and the Leitertec- System©, it is important to be aware of all hazards. The Leitertec-System© is designed to make working with telescopic ladders and standard ladders safer. The Leitertec- System© is expressly not sold as a safety component. There is always a risk of falling from the telescopic ladder or a risk of the telescopic ladder slipping in spite of the Leitertec- System©.
  • Page 6 When transporting ladders, ensure that they are secured/ attached in an appropriate manner to prevent damage. Make sure that children have no access to the erected telescopic ladder. Never actuate the locking mechanism of the rungs when working with the telescopic ladder. Do not use the telescopic ladder if a locking mechanism is not engaged correctly.
  • Page 7 Pictograms: Read the instructions in full. Note the maximum load of 150 kg. Adhere to the leaning angle of 65°-75°. The telescopic ladder may only be accessed by one person. The telescopic ladder may only be used in the prescribed direction.
  • Page 8 Do not lean over to the side. Climbing over to the side is prohibited. Wear suitable footwear. When climbing up the telescopic ladder, pay attention to the risk of collision, e.g. with pedestrians, vehicles or doors. Secure doors (but not emergency exits) and windows in the working area.
  • Page 9 Face the telescopic ladder when climbing up and down it. Objects that need to be transported when climbing up the telescopic ladder should be easy to handle and be light of weight. Do not position ladders from above. Erect standard ladders against flat, firm surfaces. There should be no debris/contaminants on the ground.

    Operation Handling the ladder Always start with the bottom rung when pulling out the rungs. Release the belt and pull out the first rung. Ensure when doing this that the locking mechanism is engaged on both sides. Repeat the procedure until the desired height is reached.
  • Page 11 Before each use, check whether the pins in the telescopic ladder return to their home position. The ground must be clean and dust-free. The surface must be flat and not open-pored. Using on smooth surfaces Insert connecting arm (1) in suction cup (2).

  • Page 13 Before accessing the telescopic ladder, check whether the suction cups have taken hold. Check at regular intervals during use that the suction cups are still holding. To release the vacuum, throw the levers back to their home position. Attention! Special care due to danger of pinching! Carefully lift the vacuum suction from the side.

The telescopic ladder and the Leitertec-System© must be kept free of dirt at all times. Foreign matter can make it difficult to push the telescopic ladder together and can interfere with the bonding qualities of the Leitertec-System©.

    Transport and storage Only transport the telescopic ladder when it is fully pushed together. Stow the Leitertec-System© in the bag as described in the contents. All components must be protected from the weather and stored dry. Furthermore, it is important to prevent unauthorised access by third parties, e.g.
