    - Model VTS SECTION 1 - INTRODUCTION The VTS product family is intended for applications that require accurate and repeatable airflow measurement with high turn-down for applications that have challenging inlet conditions. The VTS incorporates a state-of-the-art vortex shedding digital transmitter with an intuitive user- interface software known as the AccuStation Insight.

    Accutrol LLC at 203-445-9991. 6.4 Connecting the PC to the VTS Transmitter 6.4.1 For connecting directly to the VTS Transmitter, remove the cover from the transmitter and connect the USB cable into the USB C type connector located on the transmitter per the figure below.
  • Page 15 - Model VTS 6.4.1.1 Power Source Switch The VTS Transmitter pcb has a Power Source Switch which should always be in the “Operational Position” for the transmitter to function normally. The “Nonoperational Position” is provided so the transmitter can be programmed or configured when there is no 24v power source available.

To communicate to the VTS via USB connection, select “Locate Accutrol Devices” then select the com port associated with the VTS that your computer is connected to. 6.5.1 Insight Dashboard The Insight Dashboard is the primary screen for accessing the transmitter parameters and viewing the real-time performance of the VTS transmitter.

To change the full-scale range, click on the gauge face. 6.5.5 Analog Output Configuration The VTS’s Analog Output is primarily used to provide an analog signal representing the Airflow Volume flowing through the station. The signal type and full-scale range of the Analog Output are user-defined values that are configured by clicking on the boxes adjacent to each heading.

Example 1 shows the Signal Source set to “Station Airflow” which is the most common configuration. Example 2 shows the Signal Source set to “Manual Output” which is typically used for troubleshooting wiring issues.

  • Page 20 This offset is applied as an Equal % Cal. Adj. which does not overwrite the factory calibration of the VTS. Using this function is not normally required with the AccuStation (or advisable) and is only provided as a tool for the Airflow Balancer to correlate the VTS airflow measurement to a field airflow measurement.

    Installation & Operation Manual - Model VTS SECTION 8 – MAINTENANCE Scheduled maintenance for the VTS is not required; however each AccuStation does include an access cover which can be removed to inspect the airflow sensors if desired. 8.1 Round Station Access Cover CAUTION: Wear eye protection, cut-resistant gloves and clothing suitable for working with sheet metal.

Failure to do so may result in personal injury. Access Cover 8.2.1 The access cover is secured to the station using (4) #2 blunt-head Phillips head screws. To inspect the sensors, remove the access cover by removing the screws using a #2 Phillips head screw driver.
