- Page 2 INSTALLING 3 AA ALKALINE BATTERIES Unscrew and remove battery cover on bottom of Lantern Insert 3 AA batteries according to polarity (+/-) as indicated on Lantern battery compartment Replace and tighten battery cover FRESH ALKALINE BATTERIES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW, OR DIFFERENT TYPES OF BATTERIES.
