Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 1. General information – authorised service company Assembly, starting up, maintenance and repair of this leak detector have to be carried out by specialists with proven knowledge of the construction and operation of systems for handling liquids that are hazardous to water, as well as special knowledge in leak detection systems.
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 4. Type / intended use The functional principle of the vacuum leak detector type Vakumatik IVF R34 (low pressure) with integrated pump is assessed as a Category 1 device pursuant to DIN EN 13160-2:2003. The device is exclusively designed for installation in vacuum leak detection systems at double-walled tanks or single-walled tanks with leak protection lining storing liquids hazardous to water with a flash point >55°C.
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 Other suitable tanks 5.3. - Double walled tanks / containers of a cylindrical, rectangular or spherical construction made from metallic or non-metallic material having a general building authority certification or at least with a statement by an authorized test department for leak detection systems, indicating that the interstitial spaces are suitable when used in connection with the leak detector and its switching values (see 4.1).

Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 6. Functional characteristics - The leak detector (1) operates per the vacuum principle. A built-in vacuum pump (1.21) evacuates air from the interstitial space (12) via the suction line (6) and compensates for minor leaks in the system. The interstitial space is formed by the space between the two tank walls or between the leak protection lining and the tank wall (11, 14).
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 7. Instructions for assembly General information / Assembly site 7.1. - The leak detector may only be assembled outside an ex-zone. - The conditions for use have to be observed as stated in section 5. - The maximum ambient temperature (see section 3) must not exceed.
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 - The total length of the connecting lines between leak detector and tank may not exceed 50 m at an internal diameter of 6 mm. - Plastic connecting lines laid underground or Conduit aboveground must be laid in conduits. Conduits encasing connecting lines laid aboveground must also be impact- and weather-resistant.
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 8. Starting up Please ensure that the leak detector has been assembled and connected correctly as detailed in section 7. During evacuation, starting up and operation, harmful gases may leak from the interstitial space via the pump's outlet (exhaust) opening. Do not inhale, ensure sufficient ventilation.

Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 Completion of functional test: Bring the 3-way valves into the operation position shown on the left. Otherwise, the service flap will not close properly. Tightly connect any disconnected connecting lines. Under no circumstances leave the system in this condition;...
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 9. Instructions for use General advice 9.1. During evacuation, starting up and operation, harmful gases may leak from the interstitial space via the pump's outlet (exhaust) opening. Do not inhale, ensure sufficient ventilation. Proper monitoring of the system and/or the tank requires proper installation, starting up and regular functional tests as well as leak detector checks.
Leak detector Vakumatik IVF R34 Advice in the event of a fault or if the alarm is triggered 9.3. In the event of any fault and if the leak detector's alarm has been activated, the indicator lamp "Alarm red" (1.2) lights up and the inbuilt buzzer sounds (1.18). Qualified staff or authorised specialists should be called immediately in order to identify the fault.
