General I nformation Thank you for selecting our Onida G9 mobile phone. This user guide will provide you with the general informat ion and operation instructions. The package includes a chargeable bat tery, a charger and other accessories. Please refer to t he Accessory sect ion for det ails.

Keep the phone, bat tery or charger out of reach of children. Notices for your phone use Do not keep the phone near magnetic cards and other object with magnetism. The phone’s magnetism may clear t he informat ion st ored on floppy disk, pre-paid phone card and credit card.

When replacing the battery, use only the batteries approved by the phone manuf acturer. Damage resulting from using un-authorized bat teries will not be covered by warrant y. Traffic safety Do not use your phone when driving a vehicle. Give full attention t o driving and t o the road. Provided there is an emergency, st op your vehicle in a safe place and then use your phone.

Function Dial and receive calls via SI M1 or SI M2 card. Dial Key View call history of SI M1 or SI M2 in idle mode. Press and hold to turn the phone on/ of f. Call End Key End a call or reject an incoming call. Return to the idle mode.
Within a menu, press Up, Down, Left or Right to scroll t hrough menu opt ions. Getting Started 2.1. Batt eries The battery is included in the package. I t is not fully charged out of fact ory but it may still be able to power on your phone. Please completely use up the power of the battery and then charge it for at least 12 hours with your phone turned off.
2.1.4 . Batt ery level indicator When t he phone is on, the battery level indicator is located at the upper right corner of the screen. 2.2. Connecting to the Netw ork 2.2.1 . SI M card Please insert available Subscriber I dentity Module (SI M) card into your phone before using it . SI M card is supplied by your network carrier. All the information related t o network connection is recorded on the SI M card, so are the cont act information such as names, phone numbers and SMS that you set t o store on the SI M.
To unlock the SI M card, press and hold the power button t o turn on the phone. Enter the PI N code. After three consecutive incorrect PI N code entries, t he code is blocked, and you need the PUK code to unblock it. PUK code This code is required to change a locked PI N code.
Add to Blacklist: Will t he current cont act added t o the blacklist list. Mark several: Mark t he cont act, and then send SMS or delete marked. Caller groups: I n order to facilitate the address book management s you can contact will be added t o the dif ferent groups respectively.
You can view the received SMS with this function. Select an entry of SMS and press < Option> under the inbox SMS list window t o perform: View : View t he selected message. Reply: Reply the SMS to t he sender; Call sender: Call the sender of t he selected message.
Resend: Send the selected message. Edit: Edit the selected message. Delet e: Delete the selected entry of the message; Delet e all: Delete all messages Sort by: Sort t he recipient subj ect message size 、 、 Mark several: Mark several messages t o delete at the same time. Advanced: Copy to phone: current information copy t o t he phone.
Save sent message: Select to keep sending SMS on/ off. Preferred storage: Select to save t he MMS in phone or memory card. 4.8. SMS schedule you can set the timing to send a text message. Call History With this function, you can view t he information of Call History Call settings Funny Accent Switch Funny Accent Set tings.
6.2. call setup Call w aiting: The network will inform you for a newly incoming call during the call. Please cont act with your network operator t o launch or close the function because the function requires the network support. Call divert: Divert an incoming call to a designat ed phone number under the presetting condition.
6.5. Security setup You can manage your phone safely wit h t his function. The phone lock password, SI M card passw ord and PI N2 support 4-8digit numbers, do not support ot her characters. The original password of the phone when leaving the fact ory is 0000.

I mage Set tings: Set up the phot o parameters. White Balance: Adj ust t he color balance of the phot o. Scene Mode: Set up the scene mode. Restore Default: Recover all set tings into the initial values. 8.2. Photos You can view the phot os snapped with the camera through t his function.
Right soft key Press t o st op the video and go back UP key Press to enter/ exit full screen. Dow n key Press to pause the video. * and # key Press to volume down and up. 8.5. Audio Player You can enj oy t he music with this function.
List: View the currently-selected sound files. Settings: Entering t his option you can set audio qualit y. Use as: Set as SI M1/ SI M2 user profiles. Send: Send sound file to Bluetooth. 8.7. FM radio You can choose t o radYour options include: Channel List : Play, edit or delete the saved channels.
9.3 . Alarm You can set up t hat the alarm clock will ring at a specific time with this function. Setup of Alarm Clock Select an alarm clock and enter into alarm clock set up window. Set up the alarm clock with the f ollowing options: Set the alarm clock st atus as opened or closed.
SI M1/ 2 I ncoming Call: Set the ringtone for the SI M1/ 2 incoming call. You can also select ringtone from T card. Ringtone Volume: Set t he ringt one volume of the incoming call. SI M1/ 2 message: Select the ringtone f or the SI M1/ 2 message.
No service I f you are in an area not covered by your network, or if a physical obst acle is present , such as in an enclosed area, the message “ No service” will be displayed on your St andby screen and you will not be able t o make or receive calls. You can try move closer t o a window for better reception. For emergency only When you are out side your network but inside ot her net work, you can only make emergency call.

Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvent s or st rong detergent to clean t he phone. Do not paint the phone or the paint may obstruct the r emovable parts and affect operation. Use only the supplied or an approved replacement antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachment s could damage the phone Do not hold the ext ernal antenna when the phone is in use.
