FOR BATTERY BOOSTERS
USER MANUAL
Function
The ECTIVE Charge Monitor can be connected to a battery
booster to display the following parameters: charging current
(A), battery voltage (V), charging power (W), and charge
capacity (Ah and Wh).
Please read this manual and the safety advice carefully before
using the Charge Monitor.
Connection and Operation
Connect the Charge Monitor with the battery monitor using the
appropriate connection port. Follow the relevant safety advice.
The battery booster supplies the power necessary for the
Charge Monitor.
The Charge Monitor's display can either be in standby-mode
(no values are displayed) or in the active display mode - with
the backlight either turned on or off. When no input is regis-
tered for 3 minutes, the backlight is automatically turned off.
Pressing any button activates the backlight. The display can be
turned on or off with the power-button:
Setting the Backlight Intensity

Use with ECTIVE BB 30 or BB 60:
During Battery-to-Battery charging, the arrow on the display
points at "B2B". During AC battery charging, it points at "AC".
Use with ECTIVE SBB 30 or SBB 60:
During Battery-to-Battery charging, the arrow on the display
points at "B2B". During solar charging, the arrow points at "PV".
If no charging is taking place, no arrow is displayed.
The bar on the display indicates the current intensity of the
solar panel. To set the 100%-value, set the display to Charge
current (A) and press the
The sun symbol on the display indicates the status of the solar
charge controller:
• No Sun: No charging (e.g. at night).
• Full Sun: Normal charging.
• Flashing Sun: Either the solar power exceeds the controller
maximum or the controller is in the constant voltage or float
charging stage.
