Equine TMJ Hood System
Congratulations on your equine TMJ Hood system purchase.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - Please read carefully

General Step by Step Guidelines:

1. Secure the horse in cross ties.
2. Brush any dirt away from the head and loosen the halter one or two notches.
3. Pre-warm the TMJ Hood system by plugging in the appliance and placing it on the high setting
for a few minutes before placing on the patient.
4. Fasten the TMJ Hood comfortably on the patient using the Velcro Straps.
5. Turn TMJ Hood appliance on the high for first 10 minutes of therapy.
6. After the initial ten minutes, turn the heat to the low setting and maintain this setting until the
therapy session is complete.
7. Disinfect the inside of the TMJ Hood after use and allow it to dry before storage in a clean
place.

Important Safety Instructions

Never use the TMJ Hood along with any type of liniment, salve or ointment.

Do not plug in and leave unattended. Check hide under device frequently.

Do not immerse the TMJ Hood cover in water unless the electrical pads and cord have been

removed.
Do not use pins or other metallic objects to hold bed cover in place.
•
Never use pads without outer cover in place.
•
Periodically examine the inner cover (white PVC). Return device for repair if inner covering
•
shows any sign of deterioration.
Do not fold or bend the heat element.
•
Do not pull the TMJ Hood by the cord or use the cord as a handle.

from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service, for a period of one year
from the date of purchase.

how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. IN NO EVENT
