TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Creative Speakers Stopped Producing Sound
If your speakers used to work with your previous computer but it is not producing any sound now,
please verify the speakers functionality through the steps below:
1. Ensure that the volume is not set to mute in the volume control panel and that the speaker system
is turned on.
2. If the speakers are functioning correctly when it was connected to the previous computer, check
whether the same audio configurations were made on the current computer. Otherwise, please
proceed to the next step.
3. Connect an music player to the aux-in/line-in port on the speakers if there is any.
4. If there is still no sound, detach the speaker cables from the computer and connect the green cable
directly to the earphone port of the MP3.
After the above verification, if the speakers are still not producing any sound, please contact Creative
Customer Support
Cracking Sound From Creative Speakers
Please follow the steps below to identify the source of the cracking sound:
1. Increase the volume gradually from the playback source instead of the speakers and observe if
the distortion occurs.
2. Adjust the bass levels to lower levels and check if the audio is distorted while increasing the
volume level.
If the cracking sound has been identified to be coming from the speakers, it is recommended to contact
