About This Manual 1. About This Manual Afore smart meter is an intelligent control device, which is designed for grid-connected inverters. Its main function is to measure the generation and consumption, transmit the data to the inverter through RS485 communication, to ensure that the generated power of the inverter is less or equal to the user’s load.
