My door quit , it will not lock , the handle will not turn , we changed batteries, no different

If the Browning door lock (part number 07-137) won't lock and the handle won't turn after changing the batteries, the issue could be that the bolts are extended while the door is open. If the handle was turned clockwise while the door was open and the dial was then turned, the door may be “locked open.” This can be fixed by following the unlocking steps to retract the bolts.

    2 Lower the door onto the bottom hinge first, then onto the top pin. 3 When both the top and bottom hinges are aligned lower the door completely down. 4 Close the door and use a " Allen wrench to turn the Allen bolt located in the bottom piece of the bottom hinge four half-turns clockwise (looking down at the hinge).

    IMPORTANT: Pre-drill wall anchor holes in the safe prior to anchoring the safe to the floor or wall.
